Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Certificate: A voluntary test is held at the end of the course, satisfactory results lead to the award of the "Karlton Certificate in Technical Analysis".

Objectives:

Upon completion of this intensive course , participants should be able to:

 

Forecast market behavior on the basis of Technical Analysis.

Analyse Charts and Chart Patterns using Line Charts, Bar Charts, Point & Figure Charts and Candle Stick Charts.

Recognise chart patterns for price reversal, continuation and consolidation.

Interpret and appreciate the influence of Technical Indicators on price movements.

Understand the significance of changes in Volume, Price Rate of Change, Relative Strength Index,  Moving Average, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Volatility, Spread, Standard Deviation, Oscillators, Directional Movement Index, Swing Index, Stochastic, and Directional Movement Index.

Understand market strategies and money management based on Technical Analysis rather than Fundamentals.

Introduction, Chart Types, Trend Lines, Reversal & Continuation Patterns, Gaps, Retrenchments, Support & Resistance. Accumulation & Distribution, Envelope
Technical Indicators, Moving Average, Momentum,  RSI, Williams %R, Stochasic, ROC, Directional Movement Index, Volume, Open Interest, MACD,  Volatility, Bollinger Bands, Standard Deviation, Advance/Decline Oscillator, Swing Index, Volume Oscillator, Volume Rate of Change, O.B.V.
Regression Lines,   Time Series Forecast, Cycles, Gann Analysis,  Williams's Accumulation/Distribution, Advance/Decline Lines, Andrews' Pitchfork, Arc Tangents Fibonacci, Elliot Wave Theory.
Money Management Strategies based on Technical Analysis.  Discussion and brief Analysis of current market conditions
